🛸Chandrayaan-4 Mission Announced: ISRO Aims for First-Ever Human Landing on Moon by 2028

In a bold leap forward for India’s space ambitions, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) officially announced its upcoming Chandrayaan-4 mission, targeting a human landing on the Moon by 2028.

This historic mission will mark India’s entry into the elite club of nations attempting crewed lunar missions. ISRO Chairman Dr. S. Somanath revealed that the project is in advanced planning stages and will include rigorous astronaut training, advanced lander tech, and collaborations with international space agencies.

“We are not just aiming to land — we are aiming to stay and study. Chandrayaan-4 is our next giant leap,” said Dr. Somanath during the press conference in Bengaluru.

This mission follows the success of Chandrayaan-3, which made India the first country to land near the Moon’s south pole. The new project will use insights gained from previous missions and include advancements in AI-based navigation, space robotics, and lunar habitat studies.

The announcement has ignited excitement across the nation, especially among young aspiring scientists and space tech enthusiasts.
